About Us
Started in 1992 by Allen Stuthard in London, Ohio, as Stuthard Mobile Lock Shop, following a long career in the automotive industry, the business focused on providing key solutions for various locking needs. Allen operated the company for 30 years, limiting operations in 2022 for a more retired lifestyle. In 2025, Allen’s grandson Kurtis Gilley learned the locksmith trade, purchased the company, and relocated the business to Hartville, Ohio, under the name Stuthard & Gilley Lock Solutions. This new name merges the two legacies to carry on Allen’s commitment to quality lock installation and service, particularly in the NE Ohio markets. Both Allen and Kurt are United States Army Veterans, continuing a proud heritage as a veteran-owned lock shop, now also offering advanced options like smart locks.
